Colonoscopy

We provide a service that allows healthy, age-appropriate patients to easily schedule a colonoscopy, usually without a pre-procedure office visit.

Colonoscopy is advised for all average-risk patients, age 50 and older, as the preferred method of colon cancer screening. Patients with significant illnesses (poorly controlled diabetes, significant cardiac disease, severe breathing problems, kidney problems) are advised to schedule an office appointment prior to the procedure.

If you have rectal bleeding, pain in the abdominal area, changes in bowel habits, or any other gastrointestinal issues, scheduling a colonoscopy without a doctor's office visit may not be best for you. If you are experiencing any of these problems or have other significant medical history, we encourage you to call our office at 803.509.5710 and schedule an office visit first.
