Office Hours

Carolina Digestive Disease (CDD) is open Monday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm – and on Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Although self-referrals are welcomed, the majority of our patients are referred to us by their primary care physician and scheduled for a consultation appointment.
Palmetto Endoscopy Suite (PES) is open by appointment only. Due to the use of sedatives or anesthesia, patients must have a responsible adult to: (1) accompany them to our office; (2) wait in our reception area during the procedure; and, (3) drive them home following their procedure.

Making Your Appointment

Patients are invited to call our office at 803.509.5710 to schedule an appointment. Please remember to bring an updated list of all current medications to each visit. Also, bring your insurance card and method of payment for the co-pay and/or deductible for your visit.

Fees and Insurance

Patients scheduled for a consultation with Carolina Digestive Disease will be asked to pay their co-pay and/or deductible at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa and American Express. When patients provide us with their insurance information, we file for insurance reimbursement with their insurance provider. Any allowable charge not covered by insurance is the responsibility of the patient and should be paid within 30 days of receiving a bill for services.
Patients may receive bills from several providers if a physician consultation, diagnostic tests and a procedure is involved over one or more appointments. For consultations and follow-ups, bills are sent from Carolina Digestive Disease. For tests (stool cultures, tissue/biopsy analysis, etc.), bills are sent from the Pathology Laboratory. For invasive procedures, bills are sent from Carolina Digestive Disease for the physician fee and another from Palmetto Endoscopy Suite for the facility fee. Depending on the type of procedure, a bill for Anesthesia may also occur.
There will be a $25 fee for any missed office visits, if not canceled 24 hours prior to the appointment time. There will be a $100 fee for any missed endoscopic procedure, if not canceled 24 hours prior to the appointment time. As manpower and facility expenses occur in preparation for your appointment, you will be personally responsible for these charges.


Refill requests must be called into our office from 9am-5pm Monday through Thursday and from 9am-1pm on Fridays. Please refrain from calling after business hours for regular medical refills. Approval from the physician is required before a staff member is authorized to call in a prescription to your pharmacy. Allow ample time before running out of medications.


We respect the confidential nature of our patient’s medical record and take the effort to protect their privacy. Every patient at every appointment may be provided with a copy of our privacy notice. The privacy notice details how patient information is safe-guarded and how your health information is used and shared within your care team of providers. Unless it is authorized by the patient, we will not share any information from their medical record with family members, friends or associates. Unless authorized, we will only confirm appointments during telephone reminders with the patient and not with anyone answering the home, work or cell phone number supplied by the patient.
In general, you agree to permit your protected health information to be used and disclosed for purposes of treatment, payment and health care operations.
